The Yoga Journey
Andrea was born and grew up in Germany, she has traveled widely throughout the world and arrived in Dublin about 11 years ago. She has now found her home. As a young woman while recovering from several chronic illnesses she went to her first hatha yoga course in 1994 and felt an immediate benefit, leaving her relieved, refreshed and full of life. Yoga soon became her way to improve physical, mental and spiritual health.
Andrea completed her first teacher training in the Ashtanga system in 2004, two teacher trainings in Vinyasa Flow style followed soon. Andrea just keeps being amazed by the great freedom that yoga can give, gratefully keeps learning from her students and teachers alike, to practice and teach safely and patiently, drawing from different systems and schools of yoga. Over the years, she has been blessed to learn from many great teachers like Patthabi Jois, Chuck and Maty, Anto Kearney, Dave Curtis, Emil Wendel, Nancy Gilgoff , Ana Forrest and others.
A yoga practice with Andrea can be a lot of different things, a sweaty, exhilarating 2 hour workout, daring acrobatics, a gentle, mindful cat stretch in the morning, and everything in between.
